10.10.10 and A Small Giveaway

Doesn’t the date 10.10.10 look somewhat funny??  It just hit me when I was dating this post what the day was.  And did everyone wish John Lennon a Happy Birthday yesterday?  I know some of you aren't old enough to remember him when he was alive, but I actually went to a Beatles concert when I was 15 years old.. They were  great!!

Yesterday was the deadline to sign up for my Pay It Forward and the chosen ones are:
1.   Viv – from Too Busy To Stitch
2.  Debbie – from Debbie's Cross Stitch
3.  Alyssa – from My Stitching Corner

Each of you – Viv, Debbie & Alyssa need to email me at:  cindi.j@comcast.net with your snail mail information so I will have your address to mail your gifts from me when they are completed.   Also if you would please include a little about your likes and dislikes..(ex:  if you don’t really care for snowmen, I wont send you something with a winter theme.) The little mice in my brain have already begun running around with ideas of items to send each of you.

And a stitching blog isn’t complete without something about my stitching !!

I finally finished the stitching on my Needlebook and just got back from Hancock to get the finishing felt.  I plan to spend the day tomorrow finishing up about 4 projects.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA I just had to start this little Pumpkin piece.  I have had this for several years (actually have about 15) Stitcher’s Surprise kits that were a monthly thingy at my LNS.  I was digging through my stash and snagged 3 of the kits out to stitch up.  The fabric is I think like 10 count so it has stitched up really fast.  see the pretty purple &
pumpkin & orange fabric I have to finish it into a double flange pillow.

And here is another finished piece I thought I would post.  I stitched this cutie about 5 years ago and it has been packed up with all my other stitching.  I have pulled it out, pressed it and it is now in the stack of things to get finished…
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA One last piece for today…
I think of all of the pieces, I like this one the most.  The picture doesn’t do it justice.  It is stitched on lime green linen and has 3 buttons: a bat, a frog and a Witches hat.  The corners are stitched witches hats done in multi-colored metallic thread.  I plan to finish this one a little different.  (actually I am borrowing the idea from another blog I have visited recently).  I’ll post an update when I have everything complete.

HERE IS THE GOOD PART Smile
I didn’t realize  until today that I already had a copy of The Cross Stitcher October 2010 magazine.  It has a couple of Halloween charts, some for Thanksgiving, a beautiful Breast Cancer chart and a couple of Christmas charts.  If you don’t have it and would like it, leave a comment on this post.  I will draw a name next Sunday 10/17/10.  If you comment you have one entry, if you are a follower of my blog you get a second entry.  And of course, don't forget to click to enter Missy's 31 days of Halloween.  Today being the 10th it is an even day.

Well, I guess that is all the news that is news. Until next time…

I like the welcome to our patch. I really haven't had time to stich anything for fall. I have been working on Christmas for a craft show

Love your finishes, and looking forward to reading through some more of your blog to see what else you've been up to. Please enter me into your contest - I don't get to see too many stitching magazines anymore, so this would be cool.
